We collect information in a few basic ways.

Information you provide to us: When you contact us, request information, ask to speak with our team, or submit a form, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title or role, message content, and any other information you choose to provide.

Information collected automatically: When you visit our website, we or our service providers may collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, date and time of visit, and referring website or source. We use this information to operate, improve, and secure our website.

Information from business interactions: If you communicate with us by email, phone, form submission, or other business channels, we may keep records of those communications so we can respond to you and manage our relationship with you or your company.

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, provide information about our products and services, schedule conversations or follow-ups, communicate with customers and business contacts, improve our website and services, maintain website security and reliability, keep business records, comply with legal obligations, and protect our rights, property, and interests.

We do not use personal information for purposes unrelated to our business without appropriate notice or consent.

This Privacy Policy also applies to mobile applications provided by SNAPTAG Inc. that link to this Privacy Policy, including SNAPTAG Setup. SNAPTAG Setup is an installation and configuration utility used to discover, connect to, configure, diagnose, update, and troubleshoot compatible SNAPTAG gateways and repeaters.

To provide gateway setup, MQTT configuration, diagnostic, and firmware-update features, SNAPTAG Setup may process Bluetooth identifiers; gateway and repeater MAC addresses; Wi-Fi network names and passwords; MQTT broker settings and credentials; MQTT topics and payloads; firmware URLs; over-the-air (OTA) update status; gateway labels; and local troubleshooting history.

SNAPTAG does not automatically receive, collect, or retain this app data. Saved Wi-Fi, MQTT, and OTA defaults are stored locally on the user's device. Credentials are protected using iOS Keychain or, on Android, encrypted application storage.

To provide these functions, SNAPTAG Setup may request access to Bluetooth or nearby devices, the local network or Wi-Fi, the camera, location while the application is in use when required by the operating system for the relevant network function, and local notifications. Users can grant, deny, or later revoke these permissions in their device settings. Revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from functioning.

At the user's direction, the application transfers relevant configuration or command data only to the selected gateway or repeater, an MQTT broker configured by the user, or a firmware server configured by the user. These transfers occur only to perform the setup, MQTT, diagnostic, or firmware-update function requested by the user. Except for these user-directed transfers, the app data described above is processed locally and is not transmitted to SNAPTAG for advertising, marketing, analytics, or tracking.

Information sent to a gateway, repeater, MQTT broker, or firmware server is subject to the configuration, retention practices, security, and privacy terms of the user, organization, or operator that controls that destination. SNAPTAG does not receive, access, or retain information sent to a destination that SNAPTAG does not operate.

Because SNAPTAG does not automatically receive or retain this app data, SNAPTAG ordinarily has no copy of locally stored app data to access, correct, or delete. Deleting the application removes ordinary app-container data from the device, while credentials stored in a platform credential store are governed by the operating system and application controls. Deleting the application does not delete information already transferred to a configured gateway, repeater, MQTT broker, or firmware server; that information must be managed at the applicable destination.

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information with limited third parties when necessary to operate our business, including website hosting providers, email and communication tools, customer relationship management tools, scheduling or form tools, analytics or website performance tools, professional advisors, and service providers that help us operate, secure, or improve our business.

We require service providers that receive personal information from us to protect it in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law and to use it only for authorized purposes.

We may also share information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, users, customers, or business.

If SNAPTAG is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

At launch, SNAPTAG does not use advertising cookies or retargeting technologies.

The website may use essential cookies or similar technologies to operate the site, support security, remember basic preferences, and understand general website performance.

With your permission, SNAPTAG may use analytics tools to understand website visits, pages viewed, search activity, and conversion paths so we can improve the website and our business communications.

We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting technologies at this time. If we introduce advertising cookies, retargeting, or similar marketing technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.

SNAPTAG does not accept direct payments through the website and does not store payment card information through the website.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to inquiries, managing business relationships, maintaining records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting our rights.

When information is no longer needed, we may delete, de-identify, or anonymize it.

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you, subject to applicable law and reasonable verification.

You may also ask us to stop sending marketing communications. Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send transactional or administrative messages, such as responses to inquiries or service-related communications.

Our website and services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
